OSCAR 2015 RECAP
The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences held its annual awards ceremony this past Sunday, February 22 2015 to honor the best in film. The event brought out Hollywood’s creme de le creme whose attendance was covered from pre-shows to the Red Carpet and the after parties. Top winners were Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) and The Grand Budapest Hotel tieing with four awards each.

Dakota Johnson (50 Shades of GRAY) and Melanie Griffith
Birdman ’s awards included the Best Director, Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay for Alejandro González Iñárritu, while The Grand Budapest Hotel ’s awards included Best Original Score for Alexandre Desplat. Whiplash, the only other film to win multiple awards, won three including the Best Supporting Actor for J. K. Simmons. Other winners included The Theory of Everything, Still Alice, Boyhood, The Imitation Game, Big Hero 6, Ida, Citizenfour, Crisis Hotline: Veterans Press 1, The Phone Call, Feast, Selma, American Sniper, and Interstellar.
Lonnie Lynn/Common took home an Oscar for Original Song from the movie Selma Neil Patrick Harris (host) and husband David Burtka
